The Trike provides more space than a two-wheeler. There is room for four children as standard. The advantage of a Trike is that it is stable even at low speeds.
Please note: Most people find cycling more comfortable on a two-wheeler because it is more manoeuvrable than a three-wheeler.

Narrow or Wide?

The Trike is available in a narrow and a wide version. The narrow version is often chosen when it is important when the bicycle has to pass through a narrow opening (85cm). The wide version has the advantage that it is more stable due to its wider (95 cm) road holding and can of course carry even more (up to 6 children in the belts).

Models

The CargoTrike is available in various versions and models. The Trike is available in a Classic and a Cruiser version, with a choice between a wide and narrow variant. In addition, all Cargotrike models are available in a non-electric version .

Differences between the Classic and the Cruiser

As the name suggests, the Classic models from Bakfiets.nl have the most classic look and are very similar to the models that came onto the market in the late 1990s. The models are characterized by a sturdy steel carrier, a stainless steel handlebar and stem, sturdy wheels and stainless steel mudguards. The Cruiser models have a sporty and cool design with extra thick white colored tires, matte black colored fenders and a leather Brooks saddle and handles. The Cruiser has a nice large ding dong bell.

Frame

The Bakfiets.nl Trike has a steel frame that is produced in the Netherlands. With three layers of powder coating, it is resistant to the Dutch climate.

Wooden box

The box is made of waterproof plywood wood with the FSC quality mark, which makes the box well suited for use outdoors. Of course it is good for the box if it can be dried occasionally by storing it under a shelter or tarpaulin. The box sits low to the ground and the special step angle allows children to easily climb in and out of the box.
