Tracefy GPS Unit

This GPS device is intended as an additional way to further protect your e-bike or electric cargo bike against theft. As of April 1, 2022, many insurance companies for cargo bikes will require a GPS unit to be installed. With the tracefy GPS Unit, you meet this requirement for your insurance. Your bicycle mechanic will install this unit in the engine housing. It will then be possible to track your bike if it is stolen.

Via the app, you can choose between a connectivity subscription only (€49.95 per year) or a connectivity and tracking subscription (€79.95 per year).

With a trace and recovery subscription, you can rely on a specialized tracking service (G4S) to retrieve your bike in the event of theft. You activate this service with the "my bike is stolen" report button in the Tracefy app. Around 90% of stolen bikes are recovered by G4S. If you want even more certainty, you can also insure the bike against theft. Kingpolis offers a 20% discount on bicycles with a track and recovery subscription.
